~ Restoration of a Hotei Statue ~

We were entrusted with the restoration of a statue of Hotei, one of the Seven Lucky Gods.
This time, the request was to recreate the navel and repaint the entire statue.

The navel is an essential detail of Hotei’s iconic, prosperous belly.
It was a delicate task that required great care and concentration.

The client kindly provided us with a reference photo of the navel they had in mind,
and we believe we were able to recreate it quite closely to their wishes.

If you have a cherished deity statue at home showing signs of dirt, wear, or damage,
please feel free to contact Sugiyama Restoration Studio.
